Wonderful News!

Ena called last night and asked if we would like a free washer and dryer. Of course I said yes since I have been fretting about how to get one. She sold a house and the buyers wanted to keep their own machines so these ones are being given to us! O, the Lord it good to me, and so I thank the Lord, for giving me the things I need, the washer and the dryer, all for free, the Lord is good to me.

Also, Amy said that her family has 70 votive holders we can use so we will only need to buy candles now!

Planning Away

Well the wedding plans are going wonderfully. I'm so excited to marry Erik; he is even more wonderful. We have booked a florist, ordered invitations, fabric for bridesmaids dresses, my shoes, my bra, napkins, a caterer, a musician, a honeymoon, planned the rehearsal dinner, and ordered a cake. Now we just need to settle on a photographer and buy some candle holders and plates.

I'm so excited, Erik and I are going on a cruise to the Caribbean for our honeymoon, I've always wanted to go on a cruise, it will be so romantic and fun!

We close on our first home a week from Friday; Erik will move in after the honeymoon. But next weekend we are going to clean and start painting and moving me out of my apartment.

Cotton-hmmmmmmmmmm?

Today I'm wearing my recently washed blue lace 3/4 length sweater. It didn't go back to its original size like my knitting friends said it would. It is just as big if not bigger than before and I didn't stretch it out when it was wet. I laid it out gently to dry flat. So...I'll never make something out of cotton again to fit. I'll make it 2 or 3 sizes smaller. These arms are supposed to be short, and now they are full length. My grandmother put dibs on it when I first finished it, that she wanted it if it didn't work for me. I'll think about that. I don't know if I want to part with it quite yet after all my toiling.

In other news, we're getting quotes to fix things that were awry with the duplex, so we can negoatiate with the seller to fix them. We're waiting for a wood rot man to call us back.

On the wedding planning front, tonight we have a visit with a florist. Tomorrow, a dress fitting. This past weekend, I found the most wonderful shoes to go with my dress, and I also stumbled across great bridesmaid gifts!
