Lip Moisturizer

I have a bad addiction to lip moisturizer. I use many different brands, but if I don't apply something about every hour, my lips get completely dry and start puckering. Last night I decided that I would try to get rid of my addiction. I didn't put on any before bed or this morning and now I'm sitting here all puckered and dry, but I'm going to try to resist the urge. I've been wearing chap stick of some sort since middle school. I always keep it in my pocket, purse, or sometimes in my cleavage. Dry lips take desperate measures. I'm really going to try to wean myself off of lip moisturizer.

whatever

Today, I have no idea what I'm writing about. Hopefully Megan is not too sick, and she can come to my mom's house tonight and help with invitations. My mom is doing some of her twice a year cooking; she's making lasagna...one with meat the other without. For some strange and unknown reason Megan and her husband have decided to not eat meat. I can't imagine not eating meat. Sometimes I really crave it and I think it is natural to eat animals. Oh well, different strokes for different folks. Speaking of, my VW, the peoples' car needs to be cleaned; the dash is quite dusty. This weekend I really want to veg out; I'm so tired. If we have enough energy, Erik and I might go to Louisburg on Saturday to visit the cider mill and get some apple cider donughts. This is one of our romantic adventures that we like to do. Erik is on a big kick about the house being noisy because it is close to the highway and both of our neighbors have dogs. He keeps pricing soundproof windows or getting new windows. I really hope that he somehow stops hearing the noise and that his brain blocks it, because I really don't think the noise is too bad. He's just really sensitive about it. I'm hungry right now and waiting for my mom to come get me to go on our weekly Friday lunch. I can't decide where to go; she left it up to me this week. I don't know if I want healthy or a Philly steak at my favorite place. Lately I've been frustrated about my weight. I really need more work pants; I wear the same ones all time. But when I go to try on new ones, I have to get a really big size because my thighs are so disproportionate.

Lingerie Shower

I had a really fun weekend. Megan and Heather threw a lingerie shower for me. I got the most beautiful gifts. My cousin Amy gave me some "interesting" ones. My knitting friends gave me a pattern and yarn to make a babydoll and shorts. That was really creative. Almost everything I got was pink or purple. That's fine with me :). It was fun being with all my girlfriends. My grandmother went off on a 5 minute political tangent. The food was tasty. Shirley was so sweet to do that; she even ordered my favorite kringle from Wisconsin. Heather decorated with Muffy bears. Megan made the flower arangements. I could tell that they all put a lot of work into the details just to make it special. Nana and Papa gave me a beautiful long white nightie and robe for the first night of our honeymoon. I was so glad; I was really wanting something like that.

My aunt and uncle and cousin came in town last night. The last time he was here was 10 years ago, so we all ate chili at my mom and Steve's house. Then they came over to see the our new home. It was really fun seeing them. We're all eating together agian on Tuesday night and Nana and Papa's house.

Planning Away

I've realized that the wedding is in just over 2 months. We still hadn't booked the photographer or been measured by the seamstress. So now, I'm back in gear planning this wedding. This weekend Heather and Megan are having a lingere shower for me. That will be really fun.

Erik and I went to Money Matters last night to prepare for financial dealings in our upcoming marriage. I enjoyed it.

My friend Mary will be moving to Tennesse pretty soon; that will be really different, especially at knitting events.

At work I've been doing front desk work in the mornings and processing in the afternoons until they hire someone for the front.
